Lagos — A re-enactment of violence was witnessed during the week-end as two communities of Aba Oyo and Elewure slugged it out with clubs matchets and fire arms on Saturday.

The fresh clash is now leaving 10 wounded people critically ill at hospitals around Modakeke. The eruption of violence was allegedly initiated by the Ifes who caught the Modakeke people unawares.

As soon as it happened, the Ogunsua of Modakeke was said to have rushed to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the area to file a report. He was also said to have contacted the Secretary to the Osun State government and the Commissioner of Police who were not around.

Calm has now returned to the area but the DPO in Ife where the incident occurred was not available for comment.
